Where is your farm located?
All of our product comes from Christiansens Family Farm in Fairfield Utah. We offer deliveries to the Las Vegas Area once every 2 months. The drop location and time always stays the same the date just changes. We do not have a store front in Las Vegas, just deliveries once every 2 months to the drop spots.
What size freezer do I need?
on average: Quarter beef: 5-7 cubic feet Half beef: 10-14 cubic feet Whole beef: around 21 cubic feet
What does hanging weight mean?
This is the weight with the bones, meat, fat, sinew, and water weight still on your animal. You pay for the hanging weight, your animal is then cut and you can expect on average about 65% of cuts off of your animal. This is our process and our butchers are amazing! You can request the bones and fat at no additional charge.
What is cured & what is uncured for the pigs?
The main difference: With cured you will receive brown sugar cured bacon and with uncured you will receive pork belly that you can cure yourself.
How long do we dry age?
On average around 14-21 days
Do you offer 100% grass fed beef?
We no longer offer this. The reasoning for this is that our grass barley finished beef has excellent flavor and marbling that you do not get with the 100% grass fed. The barley is still GMO free, antibiotic free, hormone free and only humane practices.
