New Year New You!

I'm sure you've heard the team hindsight is 20/20. Sometimes you have to look back before you can look forward. If we want to set goals for 2020 we should first look back over the last year and take note of what worked for us and what didn't. To prevent us from repeating habits that hindered our lives we should make note of them. What goals did we set last New Years that never materialized? Are they still goals we hope to achieve? What kept us form seeing them accomplished? Goals are great to have and reach for but failed goals can leave us not wanting to set any new ones. Instead re-examine goals not attained realistically and if they are still important set them in a way that will work for you this year. Health is always a worthy goal but maybe instead of starting with running a marathon we should start with a 5K or simply a walk around our neighborhood. Having a healthy diet is a great goal, start with good ingredients and make sure one meal a day is home cooked for a starter. Extend yourself grace when things don't go perfectly. Perfection isn't an attainable goal anyway. The key is don't give up! Keep making strives forward and little by little you will be able to look back and see where you've come from. Progress now that's an attainable goal!
